Many of our collections are protected with StainSmart. StainSmart is a proprietary treatment applied toMilliken modular carpet to provide stain resist andsoil release characteristics. This treatment provides state-of-the-art protection against penetrating stains and soil. Its dual action technology enables stains and soiling to be easily removed from the carpet. The treatment becomes an inherent part of the carpet, ensuring its on-going durability over years of use, even in high traffic areas. Millitron%u00ae Digital Colour Placement creates flexible aesthetics by permanently dying the nylon polymer to create durable colour that withstands light fastness, wash fastness and rub fastness requirements.%u00a0To ensure stain resistance%u00a0%u00a0on all Millitron collections, StainSmart is used to ensure high levels of maintainability by blocking remaining dye sites in pale areas of colour Solution Dyed Nylon (SDN) contains pigments that go throughout the polymer. Not all SDN fibre has inherent stain resistance, this is an additional feature that needs to be built in to the polymer, to prevent acid stains such as tea and coffee chemically bonding to the fibre.
