The WELL standard moves the emphasis away from physical structures and directs it towards the people inside. After all, we spend approximately 90% of our time indoors. One of the primary drivers of this approach is the opportunity to directly impact the well-being and productivity of a building%u2019s occupants. While operational savings, such as reduced energy and water bills are substantial achievements, few investments generate greater returns than those designed to boost employee productivity, morale and happiness. The Well Living Lab Milliken is a founding member of the Well Living Lab, a collaborative research initiative dedicated to studying the impacts of the indoor environment on human health and well-being. The Well Living Lab and its collaborators generate evidence-based information that can be used in practical ways to create healthier indoor spaces. As a key collaborator, Milliken is able to contribute to this research and utilise the findings in future product and service development. In addition to offering guidance on all aspects of workplace well-being, this team can offer direction on selecting the floorcovering that will provide the maximum contribution to well-being. Education Our suite of RIBA approved CPD presentations has been created to help our customers develop their knowledge of the WELL Building Standard and specifically how the specification of floor coverings can make a positive contribution to their WELL Building Certification.Well PortfolioMilliken is proud to be a member of the WELL Portfolio. Both our London and San Francisco showrooms have achieved WELL Certification at the Platinum level, and our London showroom is the first showroom/retail space in the UK to be WELL Certified.
